I was born in Kentucky, but spent most of my adult life in Maryland where I began my highly successful real estate career, after 27 years as an entrepreneur, having founded my own electrical wire harness manufacturing company after serving as a production supervisor with Westinghouse Molecular Electronic (manufacturer of computer chips).  Prior to working in private industry, I proudly served my country as an auto-pilot specialist in the United States Air Force.

After working years in private industry and in my own successful business, I decided to retire and finally complete those honey-do projects.  But in the back of my mind, I still had a great desire to pursue an interest I have had throughout my adult life - real estate sales.  When the Sunday paper would arrive, I inevitably would turn to the real estate section first and spend time reading and studying the real estate market.  My interest led me to investigate the real estate industry, and I was fortunate enough to meet some real estate professionals who inspired me to pursue my dream and join their team.

Through great mentoring, I was able to turn an interest into a successful second career as a real estate agent.  I was able to channel my years of business experience and discipline learned in the military to become Rookie of the Year for a national real estate company.  I went on to receive the Home Team Spirit Award, the President's Award for top sales agent, a lifetime membership in the Million Dollar Realtors Association and a recipient of the President's Award for three consecutive years.

While achieving these honors, and selling countless homes, I was also very active in the community through the Veterans of Foreign Wars of which I am a life member.  I also achieved All American Commander for two consecutive years.  During that time, I also served in various state and national committees.  I also became a life member of the American Legion.  For 28 years, I also served my community as a volunteer for the Children's Cancer Foundation at the Johns Hopkins Hospital where I became acquainted with, and worked with, the renowned pediatric neurosurgeon, Dr. Ben Carson.

After 15 highly successful years in real estate and thoroughly enjoying helping many families acquire their dream home, my wife and I really wanted to be near our daughters who had moved to North Carolina.  So, we left the harsher northeast winters to discover the friendly environs of North Carolina.  My move to North Carolina gave me valuable insight into the needs of families or individuals choosing to relocate or retire to the Carolinas.  That's why I became a licensed agent in both North and South Carolina with RE/MAX.

My highly successful real estate career, my business experience, my community service and my knowledge of the area (10 years a North Carolinian), have positioned me to partner with you to guide you through the entire home ownership process, whether you are a first-time purchaser or someone who has sold a home and is looking to find a new home in a new community.  But most of all, commitment to you, the buyer or seller, is my guiding principle.  Let me extend my commitment to you to help you make buying or selling a home a truly satisfying and rewarding experience.
