Holden Beach offers free outdoor summer concerts every Sunday night all summer long. Come hear some of the best beach music, rock and roll, oldies, and Motown music around. Concerts start at 6:30 p.m. at the Holden Beach Pavilion under the Holden Beach Bridge and are open to the public. Bring a beach chair or blanket and your dancing shoes and get ready to dance the night away!
The beloved turtle nesting program in Holden Beach is surely its most treasured asset. This North Carolina beach is a nesting beach specifically for the Loggerhead Sea Turtle. In mid-May this protected species begins nesting on the beach at night and continues to nest thru August or September. Baby loggerhead sea turtles start hatching in July and continue into October.
